HELP US PUT TEAMS ON THE GROUND
From the beginning of Metro World Child over 45 years ago, training teams of Godly men and women with the method to carry the message and teach the children has been essential to the growth we have experienced. It’s just not possible without them!
In 2024, we surpassed the goal of reaching ONE MILLION children worldwide. That has never been done before. And this year, God continues to open doors and to give Metro unprecedented favor with leaders of countries and grace with schools all over Southern Africa. Training and equipping more Metro teams on the ground in countries like Burundi, Zambia, Nigeria, Malawi and beyond is critical; it’s urgent.
This is the side of the ministry that most people don’t know much about — but ministering to this many kids all over the world would not happen without these amazing teams. The plus side for us is that after all this time, we know what we’re doing. We’ve streamlined the process. We’ve trimmed costs to the bare minimum. But it costs more to reach more. That’s why I’m praying you’ll see how critical this need is and send your very best gift today to help — because as I mentioned, kids are waiting to learn that Jesus loves them. In each new country we’ve been invited to in Southern Africa, there are anywhere from 37,000 to 65,000 children in the school systems that we can reach with the message of God’s love, with meals to help sustain starving kids, child sponsorship, and more.
Each team we train consists of a team leader and three to four staff members all of whom are strong Christians, committed to their faith and the vision of this ministry:
• Team Leader – Responsible for overseeing the team, evaluating opportunities and performance, and maintaining relationships with school officials.
• Team Staff – Dedicated teaching staff tasked with delivering Bible-based lessons each week, leading children to Christ, and discipling them through the Word. They’re also involved in lesson preparation and building relationships with both children and school staff.
In some countries, we’ll need to train additional teams. In other countries where Metro has never had a presence before, different logistical and operational considerations are at play and a little more will be involved in assembling and raising up the initial team. But in every case, the support of faithful friends like you makes it possible for these teams to be trained, equipped, and established in order to reach a generation of boys and girls with the love of Christ through the message of the Gospel!!
To me, it’s worth $50,000 to reach 50,000 kids — now, and for years to come! If you agree, please let me hear from you soon.
